The Dream of (Almost) Every Woman

Some women dream of running the world — including running their husbands. But I don’t think those women are in the majority.

In my experience — both as a former professor and clinical psychologist, as well as my current role as a marriage educator and coach — most women dream of finding a strong man who is willing to take the lead in their family.

Don’t get me wrong. Women are not looking for a man to follow blindly, nor for someone who rules their household with an iron fist. Not. At. All.

A woman wants someone who will step up to protect her, provide for her, and take personal responsibility for his relationship with her and with his children. That is, she wants a man who knows who he is and how to guide his family forward with confidence and compassion.
